Authentic late-1970s Hong Kong Shaw Brothers kung-fu movie. Live-action realism, warm vintage colors, soft 35mm film grain, theatrical lighting, crash zooms, whip pans, bamboo flute, drums and dramatic gong sounds.
Ancient Chinese mountain temple courtyard at dusk, surrounded by wooden temples, lanterns, bamboo and misty mountains.
CatFu: a small realistic silver-and-white British Shorthair with amber-green eyes and a dark-red martial-arts headband. Normal house-cat size and anatomy. He calmly smokes from a long traditional Chinese tobacco pipe like an ancient kung-fu master.
Behind him are around 20 realistic cats in dark kung-fu clothing, arranged in symmetrical rows. Different cats: orange, black, white, grey, tuxedo and calico.

CatFu sits calmly in front of the completely motionless cats. He slowly takes a puff from his pipe. Close-up on his serious, unimpressed face.

CatFu walks slowly through the frozen formation. The camera tracks backward as he reaches the center and sits down. Everything becomes silent.

BOOOONG! Every cat suddenly begins synchronized Shaw Brothers kung-fu choreography: paw strikes, head turns, body twists, drunken-master movements and waves of coordinated movement through the formation.
CatFu remains completely still in the center, calmly smoking his pipe while everyone moves around him.

BOOOONG! Every cat suddenly stops and bows toward CatFu.
Close-up: CatFu slowly takes one final puff and exhales while looking completely unimpressed.
Final dramatic crash zoom and gong.
