The pilot activates it.
The Moon suddenly becomes surrounded by a vast expanding field of darkness.
The field sweeps across space.
Daylight begins retreating from Earth.
27–30 SECONDS:
The camera plunges through Earth's atmosphere as night rapidly spreads across continents.
City lights appear.
Stars emerge.
The first true night returns.
For one breathtaking moment, the entire planet is visible beneath a perfect star-filled sky.
VOICEOVER, quietly:
"Night restored."
Beat.
Then:
"But the Moon is no longer where we left it."
