CONCEPT:
A prehistoric paradise is destroyed by a massive volcanic eruption. The entire story is told through hand-cut paper, cardboard, ink silhouettes and layered physical materials. The volcano, lava and smoke must all feel physically crafted rather than digitally generated.
CAMERA DIRECTION:
Mostly locked wide composition. Very small lateral movements only. Between every act, freeze the frame and make an abrupt stop-motion jump into the next configuration. No smooth camera moves, morphing, dissolves or digital transitions.
VISUAL STYLE:
Dark handmade paper theater with strong physical depth. Corrugated cardboard mountains, torn paper lava, black ink silhouettes, translucent orange paper fire and layered ash clouds.
COLOR PALETTE:
Lush green, warm brown, fiery orange, white-hot yellow, deep charcoal and ash grey.
STORYBOARD — 4 ACTS:
ACT 01 — 0.0–3.5s
A peaceful prehistoric valley stretches across the frame. Animals move slowly between layered forests. Behind them stands a huge dormant volcano under a bright paper sky. Nothing suggests danger.
ACT 02 — 3.5–7.5s
Hard stop-motion jump. Thin glowing cracks suddenly appear across the volcano. Thick black smoke bursts upward in several physical paper layers. The animals freeze and turn toward the mountain as the ground begins trembling.
ACT 03 — 7.5–11.5s
Hard stop-motion jump. The volcano erupts in one violent frame. Huge orange paper lava streams race down the mountain. A massive ash cloud expands outward while trees, rocks and animal silhouettes are thrown across the frame in stepped stop-motion bursts.
ACT 04 — 11.5–15.0s
Hard stop-motion jump to the aftermath. The once-green valley is buried beneath dark grey ash. Broken tree silhouettes remain scattered across the ground. Thick charcoal smoke covers the sky while a faint red glow remains behind the volcano. Static silent final frame.
